“Jeff Sessions’s war on drugs will be less consequential than many believe”

Professor John Pfaff of Fordham University explains that jails are mostly filled with people who have committed violent crimes/dealing rather than drug possession and ending the war on drugs would mean “fewer deaths over drug deals but more murders committed by people while abusing drugs” and “many of those who currently sell would struggle to find gainful employment and would thus likely turn to other forms of crime to make ends meet”.
