UK sees huge rise in heroin and morphine-related deaths

In past 2 years, deaths rose by almost two-thirds – drug dependency worse than it appears over the longer term, as records attributing deaths to substances changed in recent years to make figures appear lower. Yesterday’s Office of National Statistics figures also show methadone as 2nd-biggest killer.
