Sharp rise in young people overdosing on painkillers, antidepressants

The findings were based on the medical records of 40,333 self-poisonings among 31,509 children and young people aged between 10-25 in England between 1998-2014. Of those incidents, 66.5% were intentional, the authors of the NHS-funded study said.
