New study shows marijuana+opioids = more harms, no benefit

University of Houston, Louisiana State University, Washington State University, Syracuse University, University of Texas and University of Houston found that sufferers from chronic pain who use marijuana with prescription opioids had higher mental-health issues and more substance abuse problems than those using opioids alone. Depression and anxiety as well as opioid addiction, alcohol and cocaine use were higher in patients using both drugs – and they had no less pain.
