Prescription drug use among adults in the US & Canada

The National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey and the Canadian Health Measures Survey reveal that 69% of adults aged 40-79 used at least 1 prescription drug in the past 30 days in the US and 65.5% in Canada, and that 22.4% (US) and 18.8% (Canada) used at least 5 prescription drugs, most commonly antidepressants.
