UK betting firms redirect £100million problem-gambling funds

Bet365, the Ladbrokes owner GVC, William Hill, Flutter and SkyBet pledged the cash last July, in response to calls for a mandatory 1% levy on their income to fund addiction research, education and treatment. They appeared to agree to route the money via Action against Gambling Harms, founded by Lord Chadlington to identify suitable recipients – instead it will go to industry charity GambleAware.
