Millions to be banned from playing National Lottery games and scratchcards under new law

Under a crackdown, 16-year-olds and 17-year-olds will be banned from playing Lotto, Thunderball and more; they will also be unable to buy scratchcards at supermarkets, convenience stores, newsagents and petrol stations. Prime minister Boris Johnson is expected to change the law to stop teens from gambling. But in the here-and-now, gambling addiction treatments are paused as staff are redeployed.
