41% of americans struggle with mental health or substance use

The CDC surveyed over 5,400 adults 24-30 June 2020 – 40.9% reported suffering from or signs of at least one mental health condition. Due to experiences during the pandemic, over 26% of respondents said they had PTSD-like symptoms (which can lead to later addictive behaviors) and over 13% reported that they’d begun drinking or using other substances or upped their existing intake of alcohol or drugs.
