Drug rehab call as homeless deaths double

New calls have been made for the Scottish government to act as 222 people died homeless in 2021, according to the National Records of Scotland. Numbers are almost double since the 121 recorded fatalities in 2017, when records began – with 60% under the age of 45. A lack of drug rehab and treatment facilities has been blamed.
