Cost of living crisis, smoking and alcohol

University College London found limited evidence that the UK cost-of-living crisis affected attempts to stop or reduce smoking and drinking, or GP offer of support – but cost is increasingly motivating alcohol reduction attempts among less advantaged drinkers, and GPs offering support, especially for alcohol reduction, remain few.
