Anaesthesiologists should play bigger role in substance use disorders

As use and misuse of alcohol, opioids, and psychostimulants continues to increase, anaesthesiologists can become a more integral part of the care team managing patients with a substance use disorder, according to articles in a September 2023 special issue of Anesthesia & Analgesia dedicated to related/patient substance use.
