$281million in funding for SAMHSA

The Trump administration announced $281million in funding for 15 SAMHSA – Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration – grant programs. It turns the Great American Recovery Initiative into a concrete strategy rather than merely a White House coordination effort. SAMHSA noted that the capital is intended to advance care explicitly via treatment, recovery supports and workforce reintegration.
