Ireland: breathalysers as reality check

“People are saying, ‘Oh my God, I thought I was ok, I only had one drink” seems to have been a common response when Ireland’s Road Safety Authority handed out breathalysers at gigs and events this summer so people could check for themselves if they are over the alcohol limit before getting behind the wheel of a car. Of 5,830 tests at concerts in Dublin, 43% were above the legal driving limit.
