$1.15million against addiction treatment centers for patient labor

Massachusetts Attorney General Andrea Joy Campbell yesterday announced that her office issued $1.15million in citations against Adult & Teen Challenge, Northeast, Inc, a substance use disorder treatment program that required participants to perform unpaid labor for external clients, as well as unpaid in-person and telephone fundraising. TCNE violated  state wage laws.
