Drug misuse in England and Wales: year ending March 2024

The Office for National Statistics published an overview of the extent and trends of illicit drug use, with data from the Crime Survey for England and Wales. Numbers are similar to the previous year except that cannabis use fell to 6.8%. An estimated 8.8% of people aged 16-59 years (about 2.9million people) used any drug in the past 12 months.
