Yesterday, the Cabinet approved legislation that will prohibit gambling advertising 5.30am-9pm. A new Gambling Regulator Authority will enforce new advertising and sponsorship rules across all media and will overhaul the licensing laws for the gambling industry. There will be a ban on betting with credit cards and placing ATMs in certain areas.
