Police and crime commissioners to be abolished

Oh dear. Labour’s Home secretary claimed that police and crime commissioners in England and Wales were a “failed experiment” – and that scrapping them will save £100million over this parliament.  The chair of the Association of Police and Crime Commissioners, Emily Spurrell, attacked the lack of consultation.
