Ireland: cocaine the most common drug in treatment

Over 12,000 cases were treated in 2022 as cocaine was the most common drug problem reported, a Health Research Board report revealed. Different age groups had different drug problems – most teenagers were treated for cannabis, the 20-34 age group for cocaine and 35+ for opioids. 20 to 34-year-olds are desperate to escape the drug scourge.
