Using brain scans of people on mind-altering drugs

University of Cambridge and an international team of neuroscientists, anesthesiologists and other medical researchers revealed a many-to-many mapping between psychoactive drugs’ effects on brain function and multiple neurotransmitter systems – and many mind-altering drugs could impact neurotransmitters distant from intended targets.
