NCAA lessens penalties for athletes who violate gambling rules

Yesterday we updated readers that NCAA endangers student athletes with message on drugs – now we learn that the NCAA is amending its penalties for student-athletes who violate the association’s gambling policy, increasing leniency and, in some cases, basing punishments on the amount wagered.
