Japan cracks down on ‘legal cannabis’ after users suffer

‘Legal cannabis’ has seen a spate of hospitalisations as young people who took the products exhibited symptoms including convulsions and disordered consciousness, Japan’s health ministry said. Testing had shown ‘THC analogues’ – partially altered forms of cannabis – to be equally or more dangerous than psychoactive tetrahydrocannabinol.
