The National Institute on Drug Abuse awarded Lucas Sjulson MD, PhD, a 5-year, $2.29million grant to explore coordinated interaction between the brain’s ventral striatum (processes reward expectation) and the hippocampus (provides info to the ventral striatum) links the value of a reward to a previous action while updating its value.
