Alcohol hospital stays at 17-year low amid record deaths

Hospital admissions due to alcohol fell to their lowest since the mid-1990s despite Scotland’s rising deaths from alcohol: Public Health Scotland showed 31,206 stays in acute general and psychiatric hospitals April 2022-March 2023 for problems relating to alcohol.
