Study on siblings and alcohol use disorder

A study by Auburn University and the University of Minnesota, The Development Unfolding of Sibling Influences on Alcohol Use Over Time, concluded that older siblings’ use of alcohol can predict younger siblings’ alcohol use, but younger siblings’ use predicted an older sibling’s use only if they were close in age and relationship.
