Smoking, emotions and alexithymia

Alexithymia is characterised by difficulties in identifying and expressing emotions, common to people in addiction. The University of Health Science in Istanbul confirmed this link in tobacco smokers and observed that alexithymic smokers have higher levels of nicotine addiction.
