Drug testing on arrest

The Home Office has published a summary of the activity of the Drug Testing on Arrest programme since its launch in 2022. From March 2022-March this year, 117,825 tests were reported to the Home Office by police forces., of which 65,638 tests were positive for cocaine, opiates or both: a rate of 56%.
