BACP acknowledges addiction counsellors

We at DB Recovery are old enough to remember when the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy refused to recognise even the concept of addiction professionals. Times have changed. BACP has released an Addictions Competence Framework which acknowledges the specific knowledge, skills and abilities required by counsellors who choose to work with clients with addictions.
