Addiction was seen as a moral failing in 1949 when what’s now the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation opened for alcoholic men in Minnesota. Since then, some of the stigma connected to addiction has lifted and there’s more understanding about what helps people through addiction. Hazelden CEO Dr Joseph Lee explains tonight.
