Scotland’s minimum unit pricing for alcohol hike – from 50p to 65p per unit – means that, for example, a bottle of vodka will now be £5 more expensive than in England. Organised criminals will see profit in moving alcohol from England to Scotland, and with it drugs and other illegal goods, the Scotsman warned.
