The World Health Organization Europe published Cheers or tears? exposing alcohol’s cost to health. It costs £€billions annually in health care, early deaths, lost productivity and social harm. In 2019, alcohol accounted for almost 1 in every 3 injury deaths, 42% of homicides, 37% of suicides and 35% of road deaths.
