‘Unsung hero’ fostered 70 babies born with addictions

Janet Wilcock won the Unsung Hero of the Year award at the Leeds Compassionate City Awards 2024 – during the past 22 years, the foster carer has taken in 70 babies addicted to drugs or alcohol, caring for them from birth until they are aged 1-2 years-old when they move on, often to adoption.
