Every £pound invested in drug and alcohol treatment services delivers extraordinary returns: saving lives, reducing crime, easing NHS pressures and breaking cycles of disadvantage. Disinvestment would set the UK back and jeopardise the safety of the communities we support, as emerging threats multiply, CGL warned.
