People with SUD seeking help face social media marketing

The Recovery Research Institute et al found that 41.7% of substance use recovery-related posts on X were from people in or seeking recovery and 21.3% from the addiction treatment industry: treatment marketing (27.4%), emotional support (15.6%), recovery milestones (15.4%), alcohol/drug sociopolitical commentary (14.7%), gratitude (11.5%) and mutual-help (8.7%).
