Fuelling addiction: the “safe supply” disaster

Controversially, the Trudeau government funded so-called “safer opioid supply” programs that give powerful pharmaceutical opioids to people who use drugs, presuming they will use these instead of street drugs of unknown potency and toxic adulterants. But safer supply drugs may be increasing harm, the Macdonald-Laurier Institute think-tank warned.
