Money laundering is key in every part of the illegal drugs industry

The global illicit drugs trade is estimated to be worth at least half a trillion US dollars each year. How this money moves and sustains the illicit drug trade should be a key part of any worthwhile counter-narcotics strategy – but it rarely is.
