Columbia University, Rutgers et al used urine drug screens on Veterans Health Administration emergency department patients aged 18-75 years with ≥1 ED visit for any reason 2008-2019. Cannabis laws contribute to increasing cannabis-positive urine drug screens, greatest in states with both medical and recreational CL.
