Cannabis and dementia

Among hospital patients, those who used cannabis had a 72% greater risk of dementia in 5 years, compared with cannabis abstainers, University of Ottawa et al found. Cannabis users who visited the ED or were hospitalized were up to 4 times as likely as the general population to be similarly diagnosed.
