Gastrointestinal conditions – new diagnosis of alcohol use disorder

Despite the availability of effective outpatient treatments for alcohol use disorder, primary care physicians screen and treat only a fraction of their patients with AUD. So Saint Louis University examined if gastroesophageal reflux disease (and others) linked to a new AUD diagnosis – 24.8% of such patients did so.
