1 in 5 complaints to Parliament’s Independent Complaints and Grievance Scheme involved alcohol, April 2023-March 2025. “Alcohol was notably prevalent in… complaints made under the Sexual Misconduct Policy, with respondents accused of inappropriate and unwanted touching. Other cases involving alcohol led to situations that escalated into hostility and aggression.”
