Regular opioid use can increase dementia risk

The Chinese Academy of Sciences, Massachusetts Veterans Home and University of Pennsylvania assessed the association between opioid use and incident dementia among 197,673 UK Biobank participants with chronic non-cancer pain. They  found that regular opioid use linked to an increased risk of dementia.
