Government “recognises need for greater certainty regarding funding and ability to set clear budgets”

In response to a parliamentary question about funding for drug and alcohol problems, Parliamentary under-secretary for Health & Social care Ashley Dalton responded that “from 2026/27 we will bring together over £4billion of public health funding for local government, by consolidating service specific grants into the Public Health Grant”.
