ASH’s Tobacco Industry Interference Index 2025, provided first to The Hill, found the US scored an 89/100 on the Global Tobacco Industry Interference Index, a survey used to measure how governments respond to interference by the tobacco industry. It is still only 52nd globally, but scored poorly in transparency, receiving 4/5 in this category.
