The Australasian Professional Society on Alcohol and other Drugs awarded its Senior Scientist Award to Irishman Professor Michael Farrell, director of the National Drug and Alcohol Research Centre at University of New South Wales (and ex King’s College London), for his outstanding long-term contribution to the field of substance use.
