1 in 5 addiction staff quit

NHS figures revealed that 19% of addiction staff leave the drug and alcohol treatment sector every year. As charities urged the Chancellor to “unfreeze” the 10-year drug strategy funding in the Autumn Budget, addiction experts warned this will be “poured into a leaky bucket”. With  alcohol/drug deaths rising, the drive to expand the workforce is urgency.
