Bill to tackle childhood trauma, prevent addiction

Yesterday saw the reintroduction of the bipartisan Resilience Investment, Support and Expansion (RISE) from Trauma Act. The $600million HHS legislation would expand services for children with adverse childhood experiences, including community violence, parental addiction and abuse and increase local capacity to prevent and mitigate long‑term harm such as addiction.
