London Ambulance Service braces for drug/ alcohol 999 calls

As alcohol-related 999 calls are expected to surge during the festive season, London Ambulance Service urged the public to drink sensibly and treat its call handlers and crews with respect. Despite its life-saving work, there are 2 violent attacks on ambulance crews daily in December, with staff subjected to 3 verbal attacks each day.
