House Bill 470 aims to give peer support specialists a 2-year reprieve from new credentialing requirements that could many of them out of work; it was approved by the House Health Services Committee yesterday. Related is House Bill 505, which revamped the licensing of peer support specialists who work in alcohol and drug treatment and recovery.
