Doctors and nurses believe their own substance use affects patients

There is a clear correlation between health professionals’ use of alcohol and drugs and how they perceive their substance use affecting their work. The more they use, the worse they believe they are at taking care of patients, the Norwegian University of Science and Technology found after asking 3,300 professionals about their substance use.
