Empathy and binge drinking in youth

Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University and University of Vienna surveyed 116 US college students found that binge drinking categories and hazardous drinking scores were closely aligned, and men reported more problematic drinking patterns than women, while women scored higher on affective empathy. Empathy did not seem to be linked.
