Psilocybin use rises after decriminalization

3 US research institutions examined psilocybin use after the decriminalization of psilocybin in Oregon (2020) and Colorado (2022). Surveying almost 500,000 people, they found that Oregon saw a 2.1% rise in past-year psilocybin use: about 90,000 more users annually. Colorado recorded a 1.8% rise in psilocybin use.
